Administrative Professional Division
Joey Barian, Director of Staffing, CTS
Joey works as part of a team that places entry level to mid-level candidates in accounting, finance, and office administration roles. He focuses on growing existing clients and developing new business opportunities by cold calling new contacts, making sales presentations, and attending networking events and job fairs. After earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Joey worked in retail for twelve years, helping to open new stores and recruit and train employees.
He is a Certified Temporary Specialist and was the 2008 Recipient of Williams-Sonoma, Inc’s “Catch the Spirit” award.
In February 2016, Joey split off from the Professional Administrative division to spearhead the newly created Engineering direct hire division. With the Engineering division up and running, he is back on the Professional Administrative division, managing, coaching and training the team to success!
Jackie Marcello, Senior Account Manager, CTS
Jackie provides stellar service to businesses looking for temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire administrative professionals.
A Milwaukee native, Jackie started her career in sales after graduating from Marquette University. She holds a bachelor of advertising degree with minors in marketing and Spanish and is a Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist. Since she began working at Extension, Jackie has developed a true passion for staffing and connecting area companies with talented admin professionals. Along with the exceptional support she provides to her candidates and clients, Jackie also manages and mentors a group of recruiters, teaching them her industry expertise.
In her time outside the office, Jackie enjoys traveling and exploring new cities and countries, being with friends and finding new fun things to do in Milwaukee.
Andrea Kwak, Recruiter, CTS
As a recruiter in Extension’s Administrative Professionals team, Andrea specializes in sourcing, screening, and placing candidates for administrative and professional positions within locally-based Milwaukee companies. She fills temp, temp-to-hire, and direct hire roles in successful organizations, while marketing and promoting Extension’s services and expertise to clients and candidates.
Andrea has been in the customer service industry for nearly a decade, interacting with a variety of people on a daily basis. During her college years, Andrea spent two years at the University of Minnesota studying retail merchandising. She later transferred to UW-Milwaukee and graduated with a degree in Human Resources Management.
In her time outside the office, Andrea enjoys camping up north, refurbishing old furniture, and grilling out with her family and friends.
Kacy Oberg, Recruiter
Kacy specializes in sourcing, screening and placing candidates in administrative and professional positions throughout the Milwaukee area. With her past experience and record of success in sales and customer service, Kacy is an asset to the Extension team in filling job opportunities with the most qualified candidates.
As a Liberal Arts graduate and Certified Personal Trainer, Kacy has spent the past decade working in the Fitness Industry and has developed a thorough understanding of sales and closing techniques. She works best under pressure and loves the thrill of a sale! She is a self-motivated innovator with a record of success and advancement in the work force.
Outside of work, Kacy loves spending time with her family and friends. She has her hands full with her two small children, and when she can gather up the energy, she also enjoys exercising, hiking, boating, swimming, and trips to Door County.
Alyssa Krehbiel, Senior Recruiter
Alyssa is a recruiting professional with 3 years of previous industry experience staffing for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire professionals. Additionally, she has experience as an Account Manager where she builds meaningful relationships with current and future clients.
Previously an Actuarial Science major, she became very interested in recruiting and went on to study Human Resources Management and Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
When not finding extraordinary talent, Alyssa loves to travel, cook, and spend time with her family (which includes raising a handsome little boy and teddy bear puppy!)
Anthony Sturino, Recruiter
Anthony is a Recruiter for our Administrative Professional Division, sourcing and recruiting for candidates with backgrounds in administration and office management. He has over three years of experience working in recruiting for a staffing agency specializing in temporary and temp-to-hire placements.
His completed his bachelor’s degree at UW-Oshkosh. His candidate focused approach comes from his background recruiting as a retail manager, and as the recruitment chair of his college fraternity.
In his free time, Anthony enjoys spending time with family, friends and his dog, Pax. Among his other interests are attending sporting events and concerts, as well as participating in recreational sports leagues including soccer, kickball and softball.
Kara Magnuson, Recruiter
Kara works hard to find administrative professionals a new opportunity in the Milwaukee Area. She loves recruiting because she has the opportunity to help companies find great candidates to fit their open roles, while also helping people find a new job; a “win win”!
Kara graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Boston, MA with a degree in Business/Marketing.
In her free time, Kara enjoys writing music and playing guitar, practicing yoga, and face-timing her family in South Carolina! Fun fact about Kara…she has 9 siblings!
Elizabeth Chamberlain, Recruiter
Elizabeth recruits top administrative talent for our clients in the Greater Milwaukee Area! Elizabeth has previous experience working for start-up companies, where her area of expertise was customer service – she loves helping and working with people!
Elizabeth attended college in Tacoma, WA and though not a Wisconsin-native, her ardent affection for cheese has helped her feel at home in Milwaukee. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside in the sun with her dog, Nacho, baseball games, and exploring Milwaukee.
Amy Spahr, Leader of Accounting and Finance Recruiting, CPC
A former accountant, Amy brings her past experience into her role as an account executive/recruiter with Extension. This experiences gives her unique insight when helping her clients evaluate and hire top talent for their accounting and finance needs. Amy holds her CPC Certification and is an active member of WICPA and SHRM, helping her stay current with the latest in federal and state employment laws and trends.

Jennifer Lambert, Recruiter
Jennifer focuses on recruiting for Accounting and Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain positions here at Extension. Jennifer is a passionate Recruiter with full life cycle recruiting and strategic passive sourcing experience. With her expertise in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, Human Resources, Sales, Supply Chain/Logistics, EHS, Operations, Manufacturing/Production and Administrative professionals, Jennifer has proven to be a true professional with a keen ability to source and screen top talent. She prides herself on listening to client’s needs and provides them the top talent they desire. She enjoys building relationships with her candidates.
Brianne Tobin, Leader of Sales Recruiting, CPC
A Certified Personnel Consultant, Brianne places sales professionals in positions ranging from entry level to VP and sales director. Her specialties include manufacturing, distribution, print, steel, packaging, creative agencies, service based companies, building and construction, and health care. At a previous employer she was responsible for the training and development of 17 sales recruiters, and the staffing of 130+ retail sales locations. She traveled the country extensively, and has a friend in every large city in the country as a result.
The travel bug hit Brianne early –she even attended a year of high school in Jamaica. And if you have a question on music, the city of Milwaukee or sales people and positions – Brianne is your go-to person.
Bridget Tighe, Account Manager/Recruiter, CPC
Bridget has worked with the big guys and small ones — from a mogul like Groupon to a software start-up based in Chicago, Bridget loves the thrill of the close. Her background in sales, account management, and customer service made her an obvious choice for Extension.
Bridget is one active lady! At the University of Miami, where she attended college, she served as an ACC Academic All-American and captain of the varsity women’s volleyball team. She has also circumnavigated the globe on a study abroad program called Semester at Sea.
Robin Hassinger, Talent Coordinator
As the Talent Coordinator for our Sales Division, Robin seeks out prospective jobs, clients, AND candidates! Her administrative talent is a perfect match for the in depth client marketing campaign she maintains to help Extension stay on top of current sales jobs.
Robin studied theater at Carroll University and English education at Alverno college.
Ashley Reck, Talent Coordinator/Recruiter
As the Talent Coordinator of Extension IT, Ashley’s focus is to support the overall recruiting process flow smoothly and efficiently. She also helps make sure each candidate has a great experience during the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process.
Ashley has extensive experience in customer service where she was an expert at accommodating customers needs as well as resolving customer issues. Ashley has a true service mentality; she is passionate about helping others!
Ashley graduated from WCTC in 2010 with studies in phlebotomy and nursing.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys working out, doing yard work and playing sports (softball, volleyball and bags). She loves her annual trips to Mexico, but when she’s stateside, Ashley enjoys going on brewery tours and finding new restaurants to try out in the area.
Matt Hoye, Senior IT Recruiter
As Extension’s Senior IT Recruiter, Matt’s goal is to make Extension IT into Extension’s “flagship” recruiting service. Matt has been in the recruiting industry for 10 years consisting of contract, contract-hire and direct hire roles.
Matt was a Theatre major in New York! He loves community theatre and BBQ Pit master.
Andy Freund, IT Recruiter
Andy recently joined Extension as an IT recruiter with over 8 years of prior recruiting experience, specializing in the placement and account management of manufacturing, engineering, and skilled trades positions. In May 2017 he began expanding his network into IT with a focus on Enterprise Resources Planning, Business Intelligences, and CRM technologies. He developed his strong organizational and communication skills working in the full cycle of the recruiting process, including industry research, cold calling, scheduling, networking and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with candidates, client companies, hiring managers and human resource staff.
Andy graduated from UW-Whitewater with an emphasis on business finance and coaching. While at Whitewater, Andy was also part of the Men’s Basketball team. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports, giving his dog the best life possible, and spending time with friends and family.
Kelly Mueller, Business Development Manager
In her role, Kelly’s goal is to go above and beyond to develop lasting and trusting relationships with her clients. Kelly’s previous background is in sales, account management, customer service and a bit of staffing, too!
Kelly went to MATC. Outside of work, Kelly keeps herself busy! She’s a city girl, but the country took her heart! She loves cooking, spending time with family and friends, four wheeling, boating and shopping. She is also an avid lover of animals (any kind really)!
Tim Smak, Account Manager/Recruiter, CPC
Tim provides first class experiences to clients who are looking to find the best engineering professionals nationwide and assist engineering professionals in finding the career of their dreams.
In his experience prior to Extension, Tim worked as a full-cycle recruiter for engineering and IT professionals. He focused on helping clients find top-tier candidates and assist candidates in finding the career that helps them achieve their goals on a personal, professional, and financial level. He also has experience in the financial services industry.
Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Corporate Finance from UW-Milwaukee.
When he’s not working, Tim enjoys working out, fly fishing and carpentry.
Sal Corrao, Account Manager/Recruiter
Sal has a passion for working with the top engineering talent in Southeastern Wisconsin and beyond. He prides himself on creating genuine relationships with the talent he works with as well as his clients. Sal comes to Extension with 12 years of sales experience, ranging from financial, medical and automotive.
Outside of the office, Sal enjoys sports (huge packer fan!) traveling, and spending time with his wife and son.
Lesley Redman, Business Development/Account Manager, CTS
With a background in sales, non-profit management and real estate, Lesley joins Extension with a solid portfolio of business partnerships and proven success in B2B strategy. She works to expand Extension’s customer base in the metro Milwaukee area by cultivating and maintaining client account relationships.
In her previous roles, Lesley’s passion to help others has pioneered her success. Her early professional career began in the beauty industry, where her business focus grew from a management position into an entrepreneurial role. After her oldest daughter was diagnosed with cancer, Lesley felt motivated to pour her talents into a higher calling by serving as executive director of a national non-profit children’s cancer organization, where she oversaw daily operations, brand recognition, and fundraising initiatives.
Lesley holds certifications in cosmetology and real estate. She also serves as co-chair for Metro Milwaukee SHRM on the Young Professionals/Membership committee. She has lived in Milwaukee, Chicago and Atlanta, but is a native to Milwaukee at heart. Outside the office she enjoys spending her time with her three children and her doting doggy. From children’s museums to the lakefront and Milwaukee’s local food scene, her family is on the go experiencing the abundant culture this city has to offer.
Kasey Smith, Business Development/Account Manager
Kasey is thrilled to be back at Extension Recruiting! She was the Director of Business Development from 2011- 2016, and is now focusing her efforts back into a Business Development/Account Management position. Her passion is providing world-class service to her clients and going above and beyond to develop lasting and trusting relationships.
She has over 10 years of sales experience. Prior experience includes consulting and business development in the HRO, BPO and HRIS technology field for a fortune 500 company. Kasey graduated from Marquette University in 2004 with a Bachelor degree in Advertising and Marketing. Fun Fact: She was part of the Marquette University Dance Team during the duration of Dwayne Wade’s basketball career.
Kasey spends the majority of her spare time with her family, including her new daughter Celine. She is an NYC lover, has an artistic eye for fashion and makeup design, and is also a huge animal advocate!
Jordan Bell, Business Development/Account Manager
As a recruiting and sales professional, Jordan partners with manufacturing companies to help find top engineering talent for their open roles throughout the Greater Milwaukee area. She loves working with people and has three years of engineering staffing experience split between recruiting and sales. Jordan enjoys finding that perfect fit between clients and candidates and aims to bring a “warmer” touch to the recruiting experience for all parties involved.
Outside of work, Jordan can be found on the tennis court during warmer months and practicing piano during the cold Wisconsin winters. She also enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, traveling, dancing, and is an avid concert-goer!
Rebecca Buchman, Accountant
Rebecca joined Extension in 2013, excited to expand her horizons in the accounting field and learn more about the staffing industry. Prior, she worked in bookkeeping and office management roles for various small business owners.
Currently, she focuses on full cycle accounting on the internal side of Extension along with Affordable Care Act compliance and benefits administration.
She attended college in central Oregon, where she lived for six years before returning home to Wisconsin. Outside the office, she enjoys outdoor activities, playing guitar, and spending time with family and her two rescued pitbulls, Pogo and Layla.
Sterling Yabuta, Accounting Assistant
As the accounting department continues to grow busier, Sterling joined Extension to assist with the workload. She currently maintains, manages and processes payroll for our temporary employees, as well as pitching in with the internal payroll as needed. She also assists in the data entry portion of new hire onboarding, processes invoices, and handles accounts payable.
Originally a Colorado native, Sterling came to the Midwest for school, receiving her degree in Elementary Education from Carroll University. After graduating, a new job landed her in Arizona, where she handled accounts payable for a large resort in Scottsdale. Sterling moved back to Wisconsin in 2015 to be closer to her family. Today, she enjoys espresso, traveling, and spending time with family, including her golden retriever, Summer.
Amy Westfahl, Controller
Kat Lazzaro, Operations Analyst
As Extension’s Operations Analyst, Kat’s main priority is supporting the Operations & Talent Leader in process improvement and documentation, new software implementation, social media, and monitoring the general workflow of the office. She also assists the rest of the Front of House Team in providing administrative support for the entire recruiting team – answering phones, tracking candidate background screenings, new hire onboarding, and much more!
In her previous roles, Kat held customer services positions in the hotel industry, doctor referral services, and website maintenance for power sports dealerships. She finds herself happiest when helping people, and loves the customer interaction she gets at the front desk of Extension.
She attended UW-Milwaukee for college, and is an enthusiast of mermaids, cats, and Harry Potter. She also considers herself a pretty serious space nerd (she was the kid that wanted to be an astronaut when she grew up), and she has an addiction to pens of all types, colors, and writeabilities.
Natalie Nell, Director of First Impressions
As the Director of First Impressions with Extension, Natalie’s mission is to provide a remarkable and unique experience to all of our clients and candidates. She handles a variety of tasks acting as a liaison between recruiters and clients/candidates through an administrative field. Her priorities range from greeting candidates, answering phones, directing calls, assist with payroll, and new hire onboarding to support the entire recruiting team! She also helps maintain and assist with the office’s data entry, candidate time cards, supply orders and other clerical duties!
Her experience and background stems customer service position in the salon and spa industry as a front desk manager, management in a café, and financial education services. Natalie plays to her strengths by focusing on helping others in anyway that she can. She loves the role she plays in being able to help our customers and the Extension team.
She attended UW- Waukesha and UW-Milwaukee to pursue American Sign Language and Interpretative studies. In her spare time you can find her either dining downtown, on the hiking trails in the summer time and, to get through the long winters, she is out snowboarding. Other interests are reading, drawing adult coloring books, and watching Netflix.
Allison Wevers, Operations and Talent Leader
Allie focuses on keeping the front of the house operating as smoothly and efficiently as possible! She also continues to recruit the best of the best in the industry to add to Extension’s team! When she’s not working on the operations or recruiting side of things, Allie is building and developing Extension’s talent brand through social media, job fair presence and networking with professionals in the Milwaukee Area. She has previous recruiting experience along with sales and human resources.
Allie obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Outside of the office, you can most likely find Allie at a country music concert in her favorite pair of cowboy boots, working out, watching football (Go Bears!), or spending time with her family and friends. The color lime green, homemade chocolate shakes, Remember the Titans and her brand new baby boy are just a few of Allie’s most favorite things.
Paul Kilp, Vice President
Paul has a passion to serve and help those in need of support and guidance. The recruiting industry became a natural fit for Paul after he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in organizational communications from UW-Milwaukee. Paul’s recruiting industry experience journey began with managing a busy staffing desk. Eventually his work evolved into 19 years of industry sales and leadership roles. He spent 9 of those 19 years leading an local professional search, staffing and RPO firm where he served as VP of Sales and eventually CEO.
In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids. He and his family are avid supporters of the Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and of course, The Packers! Paul has a love for music and enjoys attending live concerts. When is isn’t spending time with the fam, Paul likes to play the guitar and piano!
Mazio Barian, President, CPC, CTS
Extension President, Mazio says, “My # 1 responsibility is simple: continue to grow Extension into Milwaukee’s premier staffing partner. I am passionate about recruiting and staffing and love what I do.”He’s a hands-on leader, working with clients to fill temp, temp-to-hire and direct hire positions, managing staff development, training, operations and marketing. Mazio previously worked in the recruiting industry in Seattle and Milwaukee, placing executive sales professionals and later developed a pharmacy niche, placing pharmacists around the country.
He double-majored in psychology and sociology at University of Wisconsin, Madison and has earned his CPC and CTS.
